HEALTH & SAFETY ADVISOR - Part time

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join our team and support our business on a part-time basis

About Energyline :

Energyline is a privately owned, family run company, established in 2002 and based in Knaresborough and Copgrove, North Yorkshire.

The company mainly serves the power systems industry, undertaking site condition assessments and intrusive geotechnical investigations activities alongside design consultancy services.

Role specific responsibilities

The role :

Reporting to the Operations Director and working alongside our Projects Team, you will be responsible for providing professional advice and guidance to the business across site activities.

Key responsibilities will include:

    • Developing, maintaining and ensuring compliance with the company Health and Safety management systems including ISO45001 and Achilles B2.
    • Communicating and supporting company employees with implementation of policies, procedures, lessons learned and best practices.
    • Identifying knowledge or skills gaps and implement induction, awareness, knowledge and skills training solutions to maintain H&S competencies.
    • Investigating all H&S related incidents and breaches, in conjunction with department managers, identifying root causes and corrective actions to prevent re-occurrences.
    • The preparation of company-wide risk assessments, method statements and toolbox talks.
    • Reviewing and managing job packs which include health and safety paperwork, material certificates and permits to work.
    • Producing and delivering toolbox talks/ training across the company on subjects such as PPE, lone-working, safe working, risk assessments, noise awareness etc.
    • Liaising with the business and clients to continually improve safety standards on site.
    • Undertaking site and office safety inspections/ audits/ supervision and providing safety support on site.

Experience required

Skills and experience required :

This is a stand-alone Health & Safety Advisor role that would suit someone with a background in the construction industry looking for the next step in their career.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Relevant industry experience.
  • A NEBOSH General or NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
  • CSCS, SMSTS and CDM awareness.
  • Good communication and engagement skills.

The role is based in Knaresborough and Copgrove, with some UK travel to UK client sites.

Salary : £40,000 - £50,000 pa (pro rata) - competitive package including access to the company bonus scheme

Hours : Part time (up to 3 days per week) – hybrid working will be considered
