We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable professional engineering geologist / geotechnical engineer to join our dynamic geotechnical department in this growing Yorkshire-based company. This exciting role combines a range of office duties with field work in order to deliver geotechnical services for transmission / distribution network clients.
Energyline is a fast-growing independent multi-disciplinary engineering, planning and environmental consultancy based in North Yorkshire, specialising in the design and consenting of power system projects including overhead lines and underground cables.
The Geotechnical Department is seeking an enthusiastic and conscientious geologist with over 5 year’s experience to join our experienced team of geotechnical experts to assist with servicing our projects throughout the powersystems sector. In addition to providing technical advice we are supported by our Ground Investigation Department, providing both intrusive and non-intrusive activities.
Our head office is based near Knaresborough, while much of our fieldwork occurs throughout the UK with particular emphasis on the Scottish Highlands / Islands.
Location: Knaresborough, North Yorkshire.
Salary: £30, 500 per annum.

Candidates must have full UK driving licence and be available to travel to site locations within the UK, and occasionally overseas.
The role includes a 50/50 split between office (incl. work from home) and site work. Fieldwork programs can be in remote locations and may require mobilisations (10 days on / 4 off). Our work involves access remote areas on foot, and requires confidence driving off-road (training to be provided).
