Energyline recently gained planning permission for a 49.9MW battery storage facility near Stockton on Tees for our client Harmony Energy.
The planning & environmental team managed the project from its infancy and carefully guided the project through several stages of the planning process including pre-application advice, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Screening and finally onto a full planning application.
Due to the sites industrial history, its proximity to the A66 and residential properties, particular consideration had to be given to the design of the facility in this case with careful consideration of National Highways constraints on the scheme.
Our close liaison with the Planning Authority meant that it was possible for the application to be granted permission by the case officer under delegated powers, thus Avoiding Planning Committee.
We are really pleased to achieve a successful outcome here, adding to Harmony's impressive portfolio of renewable energy sites
