Kinardochy Substation (Perth & Kinross)

Energyline were responsible for design of staged ground investigation for the pre-construction stage tender design. The scope included development of an investigation strategy to allow for design of 25m deep rock slope designs in variably weathered neoproterozoic sequences, as well as a sampling and testing regime to allow for borrow material assessment for the proposed 20m high platform construction.

Techniques such as; geomechanical logging of angled core boreholes, downhole geophysical ATV survey, and seismic survey within inaccessible locations were adopted to aid tender stage estimates.
